Christians, Muslims, Jews, etc.: What happens to someone who commits suicide?

I'm an atheist, but I was just curious what the result would be in the afterlife of someone who kills themself. I'm guessing it depends on the life they led, but tell me what your interpretation is, of what the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, etc. imply about this.
