Should i get a case for my iPhone?

Im getting the iPhone 4 Verizon very soon and was wondering whether i should get a case or a purse or just some screen protectors and a purse??? i really dont like iPhone cases so just wondering what you think. Also please dont recomend an iphone wallet case cuz i dont like those!
